Very happy with this watch the only down side is that you can not get a 1/2 link for it other than that 10/10

So moved over from having an Apple Watch for over a year, and miss having a proper watch like this one. Feels very well built and worked right out of the box. Being made of stainless steel it does weigh quite a bit but this is probably because I'm used to a lightweight smart watch.

The watch looks fantastic in pictures but even better in real life. I've read that some people cannot see the negative displays, and yes sometimes you can't see them well in very dull light, but i've had no issues in both normal daylight and indoors. As well as this both displays can be illuminated using button B.

I've had no issues getting reception and the watch came with charge so I didn't have to stick it on the windowsill in sunlight.

The strap is nice and i managed to easily remove some links to fit (although I think the guys at First Class Watches can do this). The butterfly clasp isn't super comfy so I may change the strap to a leather or NATO one in the future.

The other functions are quite easy to use but it is probably quicker to just use my phone for the timer or countdown.

Overall I love this watch and don't regret moving away from my smart watch. It looks awesome, feels well made and was great value for money.

This is a review of the Citizen Navihawk A-T Black IP Plated Eco-Drive Radio Controlled JY8037-50E. 23/08/2016.

I started using this watch just a week ago so I am still learning about all its various abilities. So far, I am most impressed with the clean, detailed face with all its vernier markings, altered by the adjustable rotating knob on the left side of the watch. Although small, the marking is quite distinct and easy to use accurately.
The time itself is shown by luminous markers at each digit position and although it may seem strange at first, it soon becomes easy to tell the time at a glance. The hands are accurately positioned and there is a facility to adjust them if they are not quite correct.
The world times are easily set to wherever you may be (or want to be!) using the centre knob and the ones above and below to adjust. You then have both times available to you. Stop timing is easy to set and to do split timings once you get used to the method. These show up in the LCD panels.
The dial is very easy to read in the dark and there is a back light to show the LCD display, which would otherwise be invisible. The watch charges from daylight or sunshine and this charge shows on a dial so that you know if it needs to be recharged, but normal use seems to not need that at all. Mine runs at full charge all the time.
The dial is a busy one but all is displayed in an orderly fashion so that it is easy to see at a glance what the situation is. It does not take long to become familiar with the display.
I have tried out other titanium cased watches which are slightly lighter, but this one feels more solid and comforting in stainless steel.
The watch updates itself each night at about 2am so the time is always correct during normal use. It is waterproof to a depth that I would never get to so that it will be OK if you are swimming or showering but I always remove mine before such events.
It can be set to show summer time automatically and show times on a 12 or 24 Hour basis and has 2 alarm modes available as well as a calendar one. The date and alarms show on the LCD panel.
I like my watch a whole lot and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to have a watch that is very presentable, fashionable and always shows the correct time.

After a long search I bought my first non European watch, the Citizen Navihawk. I was (and still am) attracted to the enormous amount of technology in the watch and that did not let me down. I downloaded the manual on my iPad, so I could start knowing the functions on my new watch during the holidays.
It took some time to understand all the functions and to learn to use them without the manual. Have been wearing the watch on a daily bases in and out the salty waters, boating, biking and walking in the mountains and it still amazes me what it can do.
I really like the looks and although it is called a big watch, for me it is just the right size.
The watch feels very sturdy, but is a joy to wear.
