Very pleased with the watch. Superb delivery from FCW and the best price out there. The strap is a little stiff but after wearing it in, it should be fine. Very high quality. My only criticism, if you could call it that, is that the skeletonised 'H' on the rotor and the 'H' on the crown, are a different style to the ones pictured on the website. This is very minor, though a little odd.

After careful consideration and much reading online, i decided to purchase from First Class Watches as they have the best prices/discount and their website has excellent layout and so easy to navigate. I was totally surprised when the watch arrived next day delivery to Northern Ireland, having choosen the 38mm version of the Hamilton Khaki Field automatic as the 42mm would have been much to cumbersome on my 7" wrist. Very, very happy with my purchase from FCW, especially with the emails updating me at every stage of the purchase and despatch, and mostly for the professional manner of my phone call to the shop just before my purchase. Cant recommend highly enough, thanks again. Very satisfied customer.

A classic timeless watch 38mm x 11mm it wears so slender and stylish for my 7 inches wrist . Love the dial design with the different textures that give it a two tone look on the black metal background. The markings are clear and easy to read with the red tip arrow on the second hand, what a special touch. The high reflection sapphire glass may put some people off but for me its another special elements for this watch. The H10 movement is very accurate with the high quality comfortable strap. Would recommend !

Got a great price on Black Friday from First Class Watches- Delivery was very quick without fuss. I've looked at this watch for some time and on receiving was not disappointed. For my small wrist 38mm was fine - with a slim case. The watch is great value. I've had automatic watches before and this compares extremely well. The finish of the watch and strap is high quality and the brown leather strap fits easily and is not too stiff as I'd heard in some reviews. The dial is much nicer than the photos. First Class Watches were a good choice. You get the full 2 year manufacturers guarantee you don't get with buying on Amazon. Stick with a good registered dealer.

This is a great watch which could do with a little more information being available about it. It is very comfortable on my wrist and has a nice solid feel to it. I like that it is slightly smaller (38mm) as it fits my wrist better, and Hamilton is very good at offering watches in various sizes, so you're bound to find a size that suits you.

You may note that the pictures of the watch differ from those on Hamilton's website. That is because it has been updated (not sure when, last year or so?) but the pictures on this site are the same as the watch I received. There have been various changes from the older model, including less writing on the back (although the watch still apparently has a sapphire crystal) and the movement is different. The strap is also slightly different from the one depicted on Hamilton's site. This is all legit, don't worry, although it took me a while to ascertain that.

I've read and seen some good reviews of this watch online and according to those the new movement will now offer up to 80 hours of power reserve, which is quite a lot. You can also manually wind the watch, which I didn't know before I bought it. It is not just an automatic winding.

Overall I am very happy with this watch. Some people say the crystal is too reflective but I haven't found that to be a problem. It would be better if there was a little more information available as I had to search for a while to find out why the watch I received looked different compared the Hamilton website photos. The looks are only different on the rear of the watch, the front is the same, but Hamilton could have a bit more information out there to avoid this confusion.

Good deal with the 10% off promotion on this site as well, making it good value for money in my book.

If you're looking for a classy-looking field watch, I can definitely recommend this one.

I recently bought a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm from First Class Watches. I ordered online and the watch arrived two working days later. One needs to see this timepiece "in the flesh" so to speak to appreciate just how gorgeous it is. I have my eye on another Hamilton, the Khaki Field Officer Handwinding, which I will also be buying from FCW and I would have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic company.

I seldom leave reviews about products or companies but I am so impressed with this watch that I feel praise is deserved.
I was more than pleased with the quality straight out of the box after thinking that the claims made on review sites were to good to be true for a Swiss made automatic watch under £500. This is no less than a bargain !!
I have now been wearing the watch for two weeks, it has kept time to within a few seconds without any adjustment, it feels comfortable on my small wrist, it looks high quality without being "in your face ... look at me !!"
I have on reservations about recommending Hamilton or First Class Watches, if you are looking to own a quality automatic watch without bursting the bank go for this.

This watch is absolutely perfect and exceeds my expectations. At 38mm it is the ideal size for my wrist; the dial looks simple but there is subtle texturing; the hands are long and precise; the crystal is slightly domed and adds character; the case is brushed on the sides and polished right around the crystal; and finally, the movement is great for the price. All in all, a watch that seems simple at first glance, but has so much going for it the more closely you look!

This is the smart causal watch I've been searching for for years.
It's got the vintage style I wanted and isn't a huge "look at me" type of watch, it's class and understated. The open back is also really cool.
The 38mm case is just right for my skinny wrists,
I was little concerned with the fit at first but as the leather strap softened the fit became perfect.
Couldn't be happier with it, about 3 weeks on I still catch myself admiring it.

What to say: great looking watch, very well finished, I'm not an expert but the look and material scream quality, I like the history behind the brand... Not to mention the incredibly fast and kind customer service provided by Jamie and his crew and the good price.
I had doubts about the size and went for the 38 mm model. I reckon it is the right one for my 6 and three quarters inches wrist (pic with the stickers still on).

Watch sit very well on the hand. The design of the watch gorgeous. Watch waited impatiently. They look very stylish. The store is great, staff quickly respond to questions. There aren't many mens watches at this price with a 38mm case and an automatic movement, so in these repects alone it's a fantastic prospect. I have narrow wrists so can't wear the majority of mens watches which come in at 42mm and up. The detailing on the face itself is easy to read with a quick glance, although it is a little busy. However, the red on the end of the second hand adds a nice dash of colour that finishes it off nicely. The strap is quite a stiff leather and will need some more wearing in for it to look and feel better, but that's to be expected. Overall a great watch which I would recommend.

Good starter watch for someone wanting a 'real' movement not quartz. Automatic with a crystal back so you can see the movement. Black sporty face but not too cluttered. Decent brown leather strap. All in all a good package.

I’m a massive fan of military style watches, this does not disappoint, it has a crisply finished stainless case and highly polished bezel, the face itself looks like a precision measuring instrument with clean precise markings and the glass is beautifully clear and subtly domed. The strap looks utilitarian but is supple and very comfortable - the large eyes make fitting the watch a doddle. Love the clear window on the back of the case - a very nice touch allowing you to see the automatic movement. So far the watch has kept excellent time and keeps running well when not in use - This is my new weekend and evening watch being a little too casual for use in the office. Incredibly happy with it and love staring at the movement and face. I have relatively slim wrists and this watch doesn’t look ridiculous like most of the new 40+mm cased watches on the market today.

The Hamilton Khaki Automatic has lived up to expectations. It's a great looking watch and the 38mm version is perfect for those with a smaller wrist. It's comfortable and has an outdoor, military look but would equally be perfect for wearing with less casual clothes. It keeps great time and the date and time is easy to set.
